What is
OBD Port?

The OBD port (On-Board Diagnostics) is essentially a plug in your vehicle which has a diagnostic and reporting ability. The port enables the vehicle’s owner or technician to access information relating to the health state of various modules/components.

Here at Certified Remaps, we only employ IMI trained technicians to handle your vehicle with the upmost care that it deserves. We begin with running a full diagnostic check followed by live data scans to ensure your vehicle is running at its best. Following on from the success of the diagnostics, we proceed to take a read of the original file from your vehicle’s ECU (engine control module). Once the read is complete, we go ahead and adjust the engine’s parameters applying the remap of your choice.

What is ECU

(Engine Control Unit)?

The ECU constantly processes information from various sensors around your engine to allow it to be controlled electronically. ECUs are increasingly complex and every new generation from manufacturers, such as; BOSCH, Siemens, Delphi, Magnetti Marelli, Denso etc. requires a deeper understanding of the strategy needed in order to successfully tune the vehicle in question.

As mentioned above, we follow the same principles and procedures allowing our IMI trained technicians to handle your vehicle with the upmost care that it deserves. We begin with running a full diagnostic check followed by live data scans to ensure your vehicle is running at its best. Following on from the success of the diagnostics, we proceed to remove the ECU from your vehicle and begin to bypass any locks on processors to begin the tuning process.
